Australia's selectors have named Mick Lewis as the replacement for Glenn McGrath in the VB Series finals, reports BBC.
Cricket Australia have named a squad of 14 for the best-of-three series of matches, with McGrath out to spend time with his wife, who is battling cancer.
Chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns said in a statement: "We are prepared to give Glenn as much time as he needs at this very difficult time.
Australia squad: Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Brett Dorey, Brad Hogg, James Hopes, Michael Hussey, Simon Katich, Brett Lee, Michael Lewis, Damien Martyn, Andrew Symonds.
