Ten persons killed in separate incidents

          Ten persons were killed and 50 injured in separate incidents in different places of the country during the last two days, report agencies.
In Sherpur, a Dhaka bound BRTC bus slipped 20 feet down the roadside ditch at Miakhali on the Sribordi-Sherpur road Tuesday afternoon leaving three passengers dead and 30 injured.
Abdus Samad (40) and Dulal (30) of Kakilakura village, Sribordi and Zoru (10) of Digrirchar, Jamalpur died on the spot.
In Thakurgaon, a hotel boy was killed as he was tossed away by the blow of a tyre burst when a truck stooped for repair work near Gobindanagar raw material depot in the town Tuesday.
The police said the tyre of a rear wheal of the truck burst when the driver stopped it near a hotel for repair work, killing hotel boy Kabir (16) on the spot.
In Habiganj, an adolescent boy was killed and over 50 people were injured when rival residents of Satauk village in Lakhai Upazila were locked in a bloody clash over a trifling matter Monday.
The deceased was identified as Badrul Islam (12).
The police said the feuding groups swooped on each other with lethal country-made weapons during the battle lasting two hours and a half, killing Badrul on the spot and injuring over 50 people.
In Manikganj, two persons committed suicide in separate places of the district Sunday.
Sources said Sobjel Hossain (25), son of Sabed, committed suicide by taking poison following an altercation with his father at Char Gabindpur in Sadar Upazila.
On the same night, Shila Akter (18) killed herself by taking poison at Mouhali village in Ghior Upazila as Shila's mother scolded her for not helping her in cooking.
In Sylhet, three people died in separate incidents in the district Monday.
The body a of wood cutter Nazrul Islam was recovered from near the border in Kanaighat Upazila.
Sources said Nazrul went missing since he went to Nunchara tea garden for collecting wood Sunday morning. On information police recovered the bullet-hit body.
Locals said he might have been killed by Indian Khasia. The body was sent to hospital morgue.
Meanwhile, a man was strangulated to death allegedly by his elder brother at Mikirpara village in the same Upazila.
Besides, a girl drowned into a river at Masimpur in the town .
