HANOI, Mar 11 (VNA): Two-way trade value between Japan and Vietnam reached nearly 8.2 billion USD in 2005. Vietnam's exports to Japan earned 4.56 billion USD, an increase of 20.3 per cent against 2004 and the country imported 3.6 billion USD of goods from Japan, a 15.3 per cent increase against the previous year. This was the first time in the past five years that Vietnam's exports to Japan saw an increase of more than 20 per cent. Besides traditional products such as garments, seafood, crude oil, electric cable wires, coal, furniture, knitwear, electronic parts and plastic households utensils, Vietnam exported fresh flowers, high-quality garments and processed food to the Japanese market.
