Muslim Aid Bangladesh, a London-based international charity and development organisation, has recently set up a college named Darul Islam Mahila College at Kazipur in Sirajganj. State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Iqbal Hasan Mahmud as the chief guest inaugurated the activities of the college. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Muslim Aid headquarters (London) board of trustees member Aref J Zabadne, Muslim Aid Bangladesh Country Director SM Rasheduzzaman and Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) of Sirajganj Selina Akter as special guests. The charity body is spreading its activities among the distressed people through education, health, micro-credit, water and sanitation and relief and rehabilitation programmes. In his speech the chief guest highly praised the activities of the Muslim Aid and expressed the hope that the organisation would continue social welfare-oriented programmes in future.
