US TRADE SHOW

The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh is excited to present with the United States Embassy, the 15th US Trade Show. The purpose of the Show has been to bring to the interested Bangladeshi people the wide range of American products in Bangladesh. The United States is the leading trading partner of Bangladesh, creating marketing opportunities for ready made garments and frozen foods. Since there is a growing trade gap between the US and Bangladesh in favor of the latter it is expected that Bangladesh would take effective steps to procure more from the United States.
The US Trade Show is an annual event and has been providing an opportunity for Bangladeshi consumers and businessmen to see various types of US goods and services that are competitively available in this country. Because of the quality, better technology and competitive product price, we believe that the American goods and services will be well received in Bangladesh. The firms that manufacture and market these products do a remarkable job of bringing technology supported by the latest management tool to Bangladesh and in producing high value products.
Bangladesh offers tremendous amount of business and investment opportunities in different areas and I believe that this is the most appropriate time for all of us to seize these opportunities and create conditions conducive to trade and investment.
The American Chamber is very pleased to continue collaborating with the US Embassy in Bangladesh and thankful to the Charge dAffaires Judith Chammas and her colleagues at the Embassy for their continued support to AmCham. I congratulate all the participants of the US Trade Show 2006 for their spontaneous participation at the Show and wish them a great success in their business expectation in Bangladesh.

Andrew L. Fawthrop
President
AmCham
