Laos, Russia agree to boost energy cooperation

          VIENTIANE, Mar 14 (VNA): The Russian Regional Oil Company (ROC) plans to invest nearly 600 million USD into the Sekong 4 hydroelectric power project in the Sekong province of Laos.
Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in Vientiane recently, the project will have a capacity of 470 MW and is expected to be completed in 2008.
Moreover, the Russian Regional Oil Company (ROC) will conduct a survey and a feasibility study with the aim of ensuring the investment is implemented economically.
