          Freedom fighter and Vice- president of Awami League (AL), Modhupur Upazila unit Amir Hossain died of old age ailments at his own residence Tuesday. He was 85, reports UNB.
Amir Hossain left behind his children, a host of friends and well wishers to mourn his death.
In a condolence message, Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and AL chief Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep shock at his death.
She conveyed her sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
In a separate message, AL Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs Abdur Razzak MP also expressed deep sorrow at the death of the leader.
