GP opens customer centre in Barisal
FE Report
3/16/2006

GrameenPhone Ltd has opened a customer centre in the divisional city of Barisal becoming the first mobile phone operator to open such a full-fledged centre in Barisal.
GrameenPhone's Customer Management Division (CMD) Head Bidyut Kumar Basu formally inaugurated the centre.
Situated on the ground floor of Nirala Complex, Amir Kuthir Lane, Alekanda Road, the centre will provide a wide range of after-sales services from SIM replacement to Address Change requests. GP subscribers of Barisal Zone now will get all services from the centre.
The centre will remain open 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Apart from setting up the Customer Center, GrameenPhone Service Desks were established in all Districts and Upazillas of Barisal Division. GrameenPhone hopes that the customer center and the service desks will take its after-sales services much nearer to the home of the valued subscribers.
GP Sales and Distribution Division's Barisal Region Head Mamunur Rahman Khan and CMD Programme Office Head Mushfek Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
With the opening of the customer centre in Barisal the number of such centres reached nine in all divisional cities. Moreover GrameenPhone has already set up 600 service desks in 61 districts of the country.
The other GP Customer centres are located at Gulshan, Motijheel, Dhanmondi and Uttara areas of Dhaka city, at Agrabad in Chittagong, Khan A Sabur Road in Khulna, Uposhahar in Rajshahi and at Airport Road in Sylhet.
