          Skilled manpower is imperative for survival in the competitive world of the twenty-first century.
State Minister for Education ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon expressed this while speaking as the chief guest at the Orientation Ceremony of Spring Semester-2006 of the Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) at the BIAM auditorium in the city Wednesday, said a press release.
Chaired by NUB Vice Chancellor Mohammad Ali, the orientation ceremony was spoken, among others, by University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman M Asaduzzaman, NUB Treasurer M Abu Bakar Siddique, Daily Khabar Patra Editor Gias Kamal Chowdhury, AB Bank Limited Managing Director Kaisar A Chowdhury, Social Investment Bank Limited (SIBL) Deputy Managing Director Abu Sadek Md Sohel, Microsoft Bangladesh representative KM Ibrahim Al-Amin and NUB Lutfar Rahman.
NUB's Business Administration Faculty Dean Azhar Uddin, Faculty of Arts Dean Sadaruddin Ahmed and its Registrar Md Solaiman Miah were present, among others, on the occasion.
In his speech as the chief guest, the state minister for education said it is our principal duty to build up the new generation as 'world class citizens'.
