Int'l polio experts team calls on Health Minister

          In the wake of recurrence of the polio disease in Bangladesh an international polio experts team and representatives of various development partner organisations called on the Health Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain Thursday, reports BDNEWS.
The experts team from the World Health Organisation (WHO) headquarters and the office of the South-east Asia region, UNICEF headquarters and representatives of various development partner organisations met Health Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain at the conference room of his ministry.
During the meet they informed the minister of the source of the polio virus. The team praised the Bangladesh government for its role in taking quick measures within a very short time of the recurrence of the polio disease.
Representatives of the development partner organisations pledged to assist Bangladesh during the National Immunisation Day.
The delegation included Serguei Diorditsa of WHO, Arefin Amal Islam, Arun Thapa, Jullian Billows, Linda Muller, Judith Graf of the UNICEF headquarters, and country representative of the WHO Duangvadee Sungkhobol
