DESCO opts for GrameenPhone business solutions

          GrameenPhone (GP) Limited has recently signed an agreement with the Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) to provide complete communication facilities under its business solutions package.
DESCO Company Secretary AHM Nurul Huda and GP Deputy Head of Corporate Sales Mir Rashedul Hossain signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations in the city recently.
Also present at the signing ceremony were DESCO Finance Director Qudrate Khuda, DGM (Finance and Accounts) Rofi Uddin, DGM (Baridhara) SM Habibur Rahman, Deputy Manager (Admin) SM Zamil Hussain, Deputy Manager (Kafrul) Enamul Haque and Staff Officer to MD Md Raihan Arefin and GP General Manger of Sales and Distribution and Head of Corporate Sales Mahboob Hossain, Head of Dhaka Region Yasir Azman, Deputy Manager (Corporate Customer Care) Rejaul Amin and Officer (Corporate Sales) Saad M Faizul Karim.
Under the agreement, DESCO is being provided complete communications solutions tailored to its needs, including voice, data and other services. DESCO will use the services to further improve communication among its different offices, at an affordable cost.
Also on offer will be a complete mobile-office solution, including mobile e-mail, mobile high-speed data access, internet access, mobile fax and more, providing the freedom to work from anywhere within GP's wide coverage area.
DESCO is a 100 per cent government-owned company formed in 1996 for commercialisation of electric supply in Bangladesh.
