Seminar on WTO outcomes at UIU

          United International University (UIU) has arranged a seminar on WTO at its own campus in Dhanmondi in the city Thursday. The topic of the seminar was "Hong Kong Ministerial Meeting of WTO: Implications for Bangladesh".
Faculty, Department of Accounting and Information Systems, Dhaka University (DU) Mustafizur Rahman, and Research Director, Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), presented the keynote paper. Vice-chancellor of North South University Hafiz GA Siddiqi was the chief guest.
Habibur Rahman, Dean, School of Business, UIU, chaired the seminar.
Rahman gave details of the Hong Kong Ministerial meeting along with an account of gains and losses for Bangladesh and emphasised on doing homework and capacity building before participating in such kind of world forum.
Siddiqi emphasised on trade in services and called for adequate preparedness to face this issue.
Vice-chancellor, pro-Vice chancellor of UIU and deans of many universities participated at the discussion.
