Tk 5.0m Japanese grant for disabled people

          Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh Matsushiro Horiguchi signed a grant contract amounting to US$ 73,430 (approximately Tk 5.0 million) with the Chief Executive of Save the Planet and Disability (SPD) Ayub Nabi Molla Thursday.
SPD is a community-based non-government organisation (NGO) working to establish equal social opportunities and rights through creating employment opportunities, education, and vocational training materials for physically challenged persons.
SPD received this grant to construct a centre for vocational training, employment-generation and health support programme for persons with disabilities in Mujibnagar Upazila of Meherpur district.
