Fourteen army and nine navy personnel have been granted honorary commission on the occasion of Independence and National Day, according to a notification of the Defence Ministry. Besides, 18 honorary lieutenants of Bangladesh Army and one honorary sub-lieutenant of Bangladesh Navy also got honorary promotion on the occasion. These promotions will come into effect from today (March 26, 2005), the notification said. — UNB
