23rd meeting of Prime Bank Shariah Council held

          The 23rd meeting of the Prime Bank Shariah Council was held at the conference room of the bank's head office in the city recently.
Chairman of the Prime Bank Shariah Council and Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Ubaidul Huq presided over the meeting.
Vice Chairman of the council Shah Abdul Hannan, former principal of Madrasha-e-Alia Mohammad Salahuddin, former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank ASM Fakhrul Ahsan, Chairman of the board of directors of the bank Qazi Saleemul Huq, Managing Director M Shahjahan Bhuiyan and Member Secretary of the council and Deputy Managing Director of the bank Nasiruddin Ahmed were present at the meeting.
The meeting took important decisions relating to Shariah principles for operation of Islamic banking.
Reviewing the performance of Islamic banking branches during the last five years, the meeting discussed issues relating to introduction of Islamic credit card, different schemes for deposit mobilisation and other development activities of Islamic banking sector.
