KL keen to install automobile spare parts plants in jt-venture

          Malaysia has shown interest to install joint venture plants in Bangladesh to produce automobile parts targeting markets in both the countries, Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry leaders said in the city Tuesday. The joint chamber conveyed Malaysian interest as a delegation of its newly elected board of directors called on Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury at his office. Malaysia is also interested to import 'halal' meat from Bangladesh, president of the chamber Matlub Ahmed apprised the minister seeking his cooperation for easing the certification procedures. The minister told the delegation that the government would do everything possible to promote businesses. —BSS
