DBBL holds its Smile-Brighter Programme in Barisal

          Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) organised a four-day plastic surgery operation programme at Barisal for the poor cleft-lipped boys and girls under the DBBL Smile-Brighter Programme.
The operations were performed at a hospital in Barisal city during March 23 - 26, 2006 at the bank's own cost.
A plastic surgery team consisting of 10 members headed by plastic surgeon AJM Salek conducted the surgery.
About 200 cleft-lipped boys and girls have been enlisted for surgery, and out of them, 77 of them were successfully operated upon during the period in Barisal and the rest of them will be operated upon soon.
In this connection, a discussion was organised at Barisal Ladies Club with DBBL Medical Consultant MH Khan in the chair.
MH Khan informed that already 1000 cleft-lipped boys and girls across the country were successfully operated upon under the DBBL Smile-Brighter Programme.
Among others, DBBL Assistant Vice President and its Barisal Branch Manager Md Fazlur Rahman and DBBL Assistant Vice President Mosharaf Hossain also spoke on the occasion.
