NARAYANGANJ, Mar 4: Property worth about Tk 5.0 million (50 lakh) was gutted in a fire at the Islamia Board Mills in Pagla Chitashal area of Fatulla Saturday afternoon. The fire fighters of Narayanganj, Hajiganj, Postagola and Sadarghat Fire Brigade units managed to bring the fire under control after an hour-long attempt. Fire Brigade sources said the blaze originated from a gas generator of the mill at about 3:00pm. The fire spread very quickly as huge quantity of inflammable materials was kept at different parts of the mill. The fire fighters had to struggle hard to douse the flame. — BDNEWS
