CHITTAGONG, Nov 21: In search of prospects and opportunities for the economic uplift of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), a high-powered United Nations (UN)-Bangladesh joint mission, now in the CHT region, visited the Karnaphuli Paper Mills (KPM) at Chandraghona recently, sources said.
The team went round different sections and departments of the KPM and also called on the Managing Director (MD) Mir Mozaffar Ali at the boardroom.
Speaking on the occasion, the KPM MD informed them of the different crucial aspects of KPM including production, procurement of raw materials, mill management and other relevant issues.
The UN-Bangladesh joint mission was led by ILO representative Montine Lehmen.
