DU Correspondent
3/3/2006

An intra-party clash among the activists of the Salimulah Muslim hall unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Dhaka University (DU) Thursday left six activists injured.
The injured activists were identified as Jewel, Nomun (student of mathematics department), Rinku, Sumon, Reaiz (student of History department) and Nobin (student of Islamic Studies department). Rinku's condition was stated to be critical while the others were released after first aid.
Sources said the clash erupted at about 11:00 am from an altercation between activists belonging to the groups supporting the president and general secretary of the hall unit of JCD over gaining control of the hall. The clash soon took a violent turn between two groups.
