Road shows in Australia to promote export
4/7/2006

Bangladesh will stage road shows in three Australian cities in November this year to augment country's exports to the country, as part of a government drive to expand external trade. The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) would organise the street vending of products on November 4-12 in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The decision came from a meeting between EPB Vice Chairman Mir Shahabuddin Mohammad and the Australia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) in the city Thursday. A 20-member delegation comprising representatives from top trade bodies, main exportable product sectors and ABCCI would join the show, said an announcement. As per the primary proposal, the delegation would stay for two days in each city holding seminar, mini-exhibition, business meeting and exchange of views with local importers. —UNB
