SUVA, Mar 8 (AP): Fiji's ailing 85-year-old President Ratu Josefa Iloilo was re-elected Wednesday - only hours after he had rejected calls by some of the nation's influential tribal chiefs to not seek a second term. The South Pacific nation's powerful 55-member Great Council of Chiefs, which elects the president and vice president, also reappointed Vice President Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi. Iloilo has been Fiji's president since 2001. His re-election came just days after he returned from Australia.
