Saifur for people's support to continue uplift programmes
2/19/2006

MOULVIBAZER, Feb 18 (BSS): Finance and Planning Minister M Saifur Rahman urged the people to continue their support to the present four-party alliance government to carry forward the ongoing development activities in the nation's greater interest.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the foundation-laying ceremony of Moulvibazar Polytechnic Institute here Saturday. M Naser Rahman, MP, and chairman of the pourasabha Faizul Karim also addressed the ceremony.
Saifur said the politics of development, initiated by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, has intensified under the leadership of Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. He said the people of the country started getting benefit of the development as the BNP took a time-befitting and effective development strategy.
Referring to the development programmes undertaken by the present government in various sectors, including expanding road communication network, education and health facilities and modernising agriculture, he said the opposition have been spreading propaganda against development to tarnish the country's image to attain their petty party interest.k
