Four more teams reach zonal semis

          Four more teams - Comilla, Dhaka, Kushtia and Barisal DSAs -- advanced to the zonal semifinal of the Jubok Phone National Football Championship eliminating their rivals at separate zonal venues Monday, reports UNB.
Comilla DSA managed a 1-0 victory over Brahmanbaria DSA in the opening match of the Surma Zone at the Habiganj Stadium.
Pintu Das scored the all-important goal for Comilla in the 60th minute.
Comilla will play the zonal semis with hosts Habiganj DSA on Thursday (July 27).
In a Padma zone match at the Shariatpur Stadium, Dhaka DSA booked the last seat for zonal semis outplaying Madaripur DSA by 3-0 goals in the afternoon.
Mustafa Mahboob and Mohammad Gafur scored goal one each for Dhaka while Afzal of Madaripur scored a suicidal goal to widen the Dhaka margin.
Dhaka will meet Manikganj DSA in the zonal semis on Wednesday.
In a Kapotakkha zone match at the Magura Stadium, Kushtia DSA beat Jessore DSA by a solitary goal scored by Khadel Qari in the 26th minute.
Kushtia will play the zonal semis on Thursday (July 27) against the winners of Satkhira and Chuadanga DSAs, who meet each other today (Tuesday).
In a Meghna zone match at the Pirojpur Stadium, Barisal DSA beat Barguna DSA 2-1. Masud Parvez struck twice for Barisal while Moniruzzaman Nantu netted the lone goal for Barguna.
Barisal will play hosts Pirojpur in the zonal semis Thursday (July 27).
In the Seba Zone, both the league basis opening day matches ended in goal-less draw at the Army Stadium today (Monday).
Bangladesh Army split points with Bangladesh Navy while Bangladesh Air Force shared points with Bangladesh Police.
Today's (Tuesday's) matches: Shariatpur vs Rajbarai (Shariatpur), Chuadanga vs Satkhira (Magura), Khulna vs Jhalakati (Pirojpur), Narsingdi vs Sunamganj (Habiganj), Gazipur vs Kishoreganj (Tangail), and Jahangirnagar University vs BKSP, and Dhaka University vs Islami University, both at the Army Stadium.
