LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Thursday urged all concerned to involve the Gram Sarker members along with the elected chairmen and members of the Union Parishads to ensure sanitation facilities for all by 2010, reports BSS.
The minister was inaugurating a sanitation programme organised under joint initiatives of Ahsania Mission, Plan Bangladesh and Water Supply and Sanitation Programme of the World Bank at Ahsania Mission Auditorium in city. The programme was presided over by Executive Director of Ahsania Mission Kazi Rafiqul Alam.
He said the government has given the epoch-making announcement to achieve hundred per cent targets in the field of sanitation by 2010 after discussion with government and non-government organisations and donor agencies.
