Malaysian HC’s contribution to IUT

          Malaysian High Commissioner (HC) in Bangladesh Ashaary Bin Sani handed over a cheque for US $ 77,000 to the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) Vice Chancellor Prof M Fazli Ilahi when he called on him at his office Thursday.
It was the full settlement of mandatory contribution of Malaysia to the budget of the IUT, a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), for the financial year 2003-2004.
The vice-chancellor has thanked the high commissioner and the government of Malaysia for this as well as for the previous contributions. The vice- chancellor described the various academic and other activities and programmes of the university which has participation of students from different member states of the OIC.
The high commissioner appreciated the role being played by IUT in the development of human resources in the fields of engineering and technology. He also gave assurance to the vice-chancellor of continued help and assistance from Malaysia to this prestigious university.
