Police beefs up security cover of actor Shah Rukh
8/17/2006

Security for actor Shah Rukh Khan was today beefed up following an incident of firing at his residence here in which one of his guards was killed, police said, report wire services.
The police security provided earlier to Khan has now been increased.
A private security guard named Chandra Pratap Singh, who was on duty at Khan's bungalow Mannat in suburban Bandra received bullet injuries early today when another guard Hitendra Singh accidentally fired at him with an imported firearm. Chandra Pratap succumbed to his injuries in the hospital before admission.
Hitendra was arrested and the firearm seized, police said.
Although Khan's security has not been categorised, police said they had stepped up the security cover in view of the incident
