Price indices on DSE slightly rise

          Price indices on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) led by banks and power issues advanced slightly Thursday.
Market sources said presence of institutional investors is not satisfactory; retail investors mainly participated in share trading on the day.
DSE all-share price benchmark index (DSI) advanced 3.49 points or 0.28 per cent to close at 1244.03 while DSE general index (DGEN) rose by 9.93 points or 0.64 per cent to finish at 1568.79 on the day.
DSE-20 blue chip index (DS20) advanced slightly 0.17 points or 0.011 per cent to close at 1442.76 on the day.
Total turnover of the market (in value) increased to Tk 551.49 million on the day, which was Tk 478.99 million Tuesday.
Out of total 209 issues traded on the day, only 71 gained, 105 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
AB Bank share prices edged up suddenly by 14.44 per cent to close at Tk 649.50 on the day without any price sensitive disclosure.
Share prices of S Alam Cold Rolled Steels scaled up by 8.26 per cent to end at Tk 160.50 on the day.
