COLOMBO, Aug 20 (BSS): Mizanur Rahman of Bangladesh won bronze in the 77 kg weight category weightlifting competition of the 10th South Asian Games here today.
He lifted 233 kg in total to bag the bronze, while Awais Akbar of Pakistan clinched gold, lifting 270 kg and PKN Dayan of Sri Lanka lifted 256 kg for silver.
Monoranjan Roy of Bangladesh became fourth in the 69 kg weight category, elevating 254 kg, while Kamal Adhikari of Nepal lifted 266 kg to clinch gold beating Pakistani contender Matiur Rehman, also lifted 266 kg, on points. KSA Peris lifted 259 kg for bronze.
