TEUA threatens to turn Dhaka into a 'city of processions' if demand not met
8/5/2006

Teachers-Employees Unity Alliance (TEUA) has threatened to turn the capital Dhaka into a 'city of processions' Monday if its demand for increased salary is not met by tomorrow (Sunday).
The TEUA leaders made the threat through a press conference in the city Friday, reports UNB.
Reading out a written statement at the briefing, TEUA Chief Coordinator Mohammad Selim Bhuiyan called upon the teachers and employees of all non-government educational institutions across the country to attend a 'grand sit-in' at Muktangon in the city at 3pm Sunday.
He said the teachers would "only go back home with the fruits of the movement."
Teachers from all the six divisions of the country would take part in the programme, he said, urging all "not to be misled by any conspiracy" against their movement.
