Standard Bank holds managers' conference

          The half-yearly managers' conference-2006 of Standard Bank Limited (SBL) was held at a city hotel recently under the chairmanship of its Managing Director Mosharraf Hossain.
Chairman of the board of directors of the bank Kazi Akramuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the conference while Vice Chairman Mohammad Abdul Aziz was present as the special guest.
Also present on the occasion were SBL directors Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury and Ferozur Rahman, Chief Banking Consultant Shahzada Syed Nizamuddin Ahmed.
The deputy managing director and branch managers from across the country, senior executives and officers of head office of the bank were present at the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Kazi Akramuddin Ahmed lauded the branch managers, executives, officers and employees of the bank for their dedication, commitment and valuable contribution to the growth and success of the bank during the first half of the year.
He said the bank had been able to win the confidence of its clients and patrons for successful handling of substantial volumes of deposits, loans and advances as well as exploring of import and export business in a short span of time.
Mosharraf Hossain advised the branch managers, executives and officers of the bank to become more serious in their duties for meeting the expectation of the board of directors through achievement of the targets for the year 2006.
