Leader of the Opposition and Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina Thursday visited the Ajmeer Sharif and offered Zohr prayers at the holy shrine of Hazrat Khawaja Mainuddin Chisti (RA), reports UNB. Offering Fateha at the holy shrine, she prayed for the people of Bangladesh and for continued peace and progress of the nation. Her political secretary Saber Hossain Chowdhury told the news agency over phone that after offering Zohr prayers and Fateha, Hasina flew back to New Delhi. The opposition leader is expected to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh and opposition BJP leader LK Advani today (Friday). Hasina who left for the Indian capital Wednesday is expected to return home October 2.
