V-Day basketball Josephite, Navy move to final

Josephite Club and Bangladesh Navy moved to the final of the Victory Day Basketball Tournament winning their respective semi finals at the Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium in the city Thursday.
Josephite Club defeated Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) in the first semi final 79-52 after leading the first half 33-24.
Leo scored 24, Raza scored 19 and Sejad scored 12 points for the winners. Ayub scored 20 and Manjil 17 for BDR.
In the second semi final, Bangladesh Navy outplayed Europa Youth 71-59 at the same venue. The winners led the first half 66-39.
Rashed scored 34 and Zinnah scored 14 points for the winners. Emran scored 21 and Asif 12 for Europa, reports BDNEWS.
