Special trains for Ijtema

The Bangladesh Railway (BR) will run some special trains for easy transportation of devotees on the occasion of Biswa Ijtema from January 26 to January 29, reports BDNEWS.
Two special trains will run from Jamalpur to Tongi from January 26 to 28. The trains will depart Jamalpur at 8:45 am and 6:30 pm respectively for Tongi.
One special train from Laksam and another from Akhaura to Tongi will also run on these three days.
A special train from Laksam station will depart at 10.0 am and another from Akhaura will start at 8.0 pm for Tongi.
On the day of Akheri Munajat (final prayer), seven special trains will go from Dhaka to Tongi from 7:00 am to 10:30 am. Besides, another six inter city, mail and express trains from Dhaka will stop at Tongi on the day.
The schedule for the special trains from Dhaka to Tongi is: 7:00 am, 7:20 am, 8:20 am, 8:40 am, 10:05 am and 10:30 am.
After completion of the prayer, seven special trains, and seven intercity, mail and express trains are scheduled to make the down trip from Tongi to Dhaka.
Schedule of the special trains for the trips from Tongi towards Dhaka is respectively 12:20 pm, 12:45 pm, 1:40 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:20 pm, 6:15 pm and 6:55 pm.
After the Munajat, two trains will run from Tongi to Akhaura departing at 3:30 pm and 8:10 pm while the one from Tongi to Laksam will leave at 12:50 pm.
After the Munajat, four special trains will leave for Mymensingh from Tongi at 12:25 pm, 12:40 pm, 2:15 pm and 10 pm.
Dhaka-Chittagong Subarna Express, Dhaka-Sylhet Parabat Express Dhaka-Bahadurabad-Dhaka Teesta Express trains will remain suspended temporarily due to Ijtema on the day of Akheri Munajat, says BR source.
Instead the trains will run on the next weekly holidays.
Moreover, Dhaka-Rajshahi-Dhaka Silk City Express, Dhaka-Chittagong Mahanagar Godhuli and Dhaka-Chittagong Prabhati will also run on the holiday on January 29.
