Japan-Bangladesh IT Expo to be held in April in city

A three-day "Japan-Bangladesh IT Expo 2006" will kick off in the city's Sheraton Hotel on April 13. Japan's 40 renowned IT and tele communication companies will participate in the exhibition to be organised by Japan-Bangladesh Group.
Japan-Bangladesh Group Chairman Salim Prodhan disclosed this in a press conference Sunday in presence of a number of Japanese businessmen.
Among others, the group's Executive Director Hatem Ali Bhuiyan and Vice President Yoshito Igarashi also spoke on the occasion.
Salim said, the aim of this expo will be to give an opportunity to the country's youths to keep pace with the present IT trend.
He expressed his hope that it would also help Bangladesh get rid of the unemployment problem and be developed, ascending the IT super highway.
Japan ranks the best country in IT and its highest technological inventions will be exhibited in the expo. Renowned IT companies like Fujitsu, Nihon, Nagatsuka, FES, Xing, Casio, NEC, Marco, Nippon, Itochu, Techno etc will participate in it.
The expo will be open for all and the customers will enjoy 30 per cent discount on software, hardware and telecommunication equipment.
