Former minister Shamsul Islam Khan dead

Former industries Minister and incumbent Member of the Parliament from Manikganj-4 constituency Shamsul Islam Khan died of old-age ailments at LabAid Cardiac Hospital in the capital Sunday afternoon. He was 80, reports UNB.
He left behind his wife, a son and two daughters and a host of relations to mourn his death.
His Namaz-e-janaza will be held first at city's BNP party office, second at South Plaza of Parliament, third at Singair of Manikganj and fourth at his village home Charigram before burial today (Monday).
He will be buried at Banani graveyard Tuesday after a fifth funeral prayer at Dhanmondi Eidgah after Zohr prayer.
In separate condolence messages, President Iajuddin Ahmed, Speaker M Jamiruddin Sircar, Deputy Speaker Akhter Hamid Siddiqui, Chief Whip Khandakar Delwar Hossain and Whips and Industries Minister Matiur Rahman Nizami expressed deep shock at his death.
The President recalled with his contribution to giving institutional shape to democratic movement and parliamentary democracy.
