MSC leave for Bangkok today

National League Champions Mohammedan Sporting Club leave the city for Bangkok today (Wednesday) to play an exhibition match against the Thai League champions, reports BDNEWS.
The match between two champions is billed for Thursday and the Mohammedans are scheduled to return home Friday.
The Mohammedans coach Safiqul Islam Manik told BDNEWS: We want to build up club level relation though the exhibition match and I hope that the team will produce a good result.
"I can't assure you of a victory as my team, which is out of actions after the national league, is yet to be full-pledged. We have just begun the camp one week before," said Manik, "So, we expect a honourable result."
The Mohammedans has confirmed their six national booters -- Matiur Munna, Alfaz Ahmed, Nazrul Islam, Asadur Rahman, Arman Azizi and Biplob Bhattacharcha - as Bangladesh Football Federation released them after Tuesday's practice session.
Manik termed the match as a part of preparation for the upcoming AFC Cup. The Mohammedans will play their first home match against Dhofar of Oman on March 7. And, they take on Dhofar in away match on May 2.
The national league champions will play the away match against Al Wihdat of Jordan on April 11 while Al Wihdat take on Mohammedans in Dhaka on April 25.
