Surjodoy Krira Chakra emerged unbeaten champions of the Tibet Metropolis First Division Handball League beating Orient Sporting Club by 22-21 goals in a nerve-biting last super four match at the Outer Stadium handball court Saturday, reports UNB.
Despite the day's defeat, Orient SC finished runners-up to earn promotion to play in the premier division league from next season alongwith newly crowned Surjodoy KC.
Mohammad of Sunny of Orient SC was adjudged best player of the league for his feat.
Senior Vice-President Corporate Affairs of League sponsor Kohinoor Chemical Company Abul Khair and General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor also present on the occasion.
In the day's last league match, Surjodoy KC was trailing by 7-8 goals during the first half.
