BACI delegation attends 35th IFAWPCA convention in Manila

An eighteen-member delegation of Bangladesh Association of Construction Industry (BACI) led by its President Md Atiqur Rahman attended the 35th convention and 50th anniversary of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Association (IFAWPCA) held recently in Manila.
The theme of the convention was "Great works of the last 50 years.... Looking forward to the next 50 years."
IFAWPCA used to arrange convention for its member-associations to deliberate on various issues in the interest of the members at different places of the world for a forward programme of the construction industry. Sk Md Rafiqul Islam, a member of the executive committee of BACI, was the chief delegate to the convention.
BACI members Aminul Islam and Mir Zahir Hossain were elected first vice president and pro secretary general respectively of the IFAWPCA board for 2006-2007 term at the convention.
