Voting in SCBA polls begins today

The two-day voting to the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) election to elect its 14-member executive committee begins today (Wednesday) morning, reports BDNEWS.
The voting will continue today and tomorrow (Thursday) from 10am to 5:00pm with an interval for one hour from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the SCBA auditorium.
The SCBA authorities have taken all preparations for holding the election in a free and fair manner.
The contesting candidates have already completed their election campaigns.
Some 34 Supreme Court lawyers -- including four candidates for the post of president, five for the post of vice president and three for secretary -- have been contesting in the election.
The candidates for the post of president are -M Amir-ul Islam, Masood Reza Sobhan, Habibul Islam Bhuiyan and ABM Nurul Islam; candidates for the post of vice president are -Abdul Mannan Khan, Abu Bakar Sidique, ATM Mizanur Rahman, Golam Arshed and Asadullah; and candidates for the post of secretary are AM Aminuddin, Abdullah-al Mamun and ABM Bayezid.
