Investors from Germany, Spain to visit upcoming REHAB fair in city

At least ten investors from Germany and Spain will visit 'Real Estate & Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) Fair, 2005' beginning in the city on November 23-27.
"They will visit the country's largest fair in real estate sector under the banner of Euro Builders, a joint project of European Union and REHAB, to invest in the housing sector for low-income people of Bangladesh," one REHAB source told the FE Thursday.
The joint project under the programme -- Asia Invest-2 -- was launched in April this yea to help explore market through attracting non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) and new investors in the sector.
The REHAB Fair has been taking place every year since 2001.
A total of 94 REHAB members and four house financial institutions will take part in this year's fair to be held at Dhaka Sheraton.
REHAB sources said 98 participants will put up 101 stalls in the fair.
The prices of single and multiple entry tickets will be Tk 50 and Tk 100 respectively.
The co-sponsors of this year's fair are Amin Mohammad Group, Concord Real Estate and Building Products Ltd, East West Property Development Ltd, Navana Real Estate Ltd, Rangs Properties Ltd, Sagufta NM Housing Ltd and Suvastu Development Ltd.
The approximate turnover of the real estate sector is currently Tk 12.50 billion a year.
Established in 1991 with only 11 members, REHAB has now 161 members.
REHAB members have delivered 50,000 units of apartments in the last 19 years.
