Moulvibazar clash kills one, hurts 10

MOULVIBAZAR, Oct 15 (UNB): A man was killed and 10 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups at Katabeel village in Komolganj Upazila Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Modris Mia (50).
Police and villagers said the clash ensued between the supporters of Modris Mia and Israil Mia at noon over confinement of Modris's son.
Both the feuding groups used lethal weapons during the clash that left 11 injured.
Critically injured Modrisa Mia was rushed to Upazila Health Complex where he died soon after admission.
Other injured persons were admitted to the Sadar Hospital. Locals said Israil Mia kept Modris's son Islam confined Friday suspecting him to be a cattle-lifter.
