Sarbahara leader dies in shootout with police

JHENIDAH, Oct 15 (UNB): A leader of outlawed Sramajibi Mukti Andolon was killed in a shootout between the police and his cohorts in Thakur Malithia area of Shoilakupa Upazila early Saturday.
Police said they arrested gang leader Baka (40) of Bogura village in Shailakupa from neighbouring Sreepur Upazila of Magura district Thursday midnight.
They said the outlawed leader was wanted in a number of murder, hijacking and other criminal cases.
Two shutter guns, two guns and nine rounds of bullet were seized from the scene.
