Aminul calls for curbing illegal cross-border activities

RAJSHAHI, Oct 15 (BSS): Post and Telecommunications Minister Aminul Haque Saturday called upon the members of the law enforcing agencies to check smuggling of drugs, trafficking of women and children to boost national economy and enhance the country's image.
Addressing a meeting of the district law and order committee in the DC's conference hall here, he said, "Check all kinds of illegal cross-border activities including smuggling of Indian goods and drugs and trafficking of women and children at any cost."
The minister also asked the officials concerned to take stern action against those involved in the women and child repression. The meeting discussed in details the success as well as the hindrances of the anti-smuggling drives. Law and order situation also came up for discussion in the meeting.
Aminul, in this regard, praised the local administration and law enforcing agencies for making the recently celebrated Durga Puja, a complete success.
