Tk 40m earmarked for PM Cup

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has earmarked a luxurious budget of Tk 40 million to organise the Prime Minister's Cup Football tournament, reports BDNEWS.
The budget was placed before the Executive Committee (EC) of the BFF Tuesday with its president SA Sultan, MP in the chair.
"The preliminary budget has been submitted before the meeting, the final decision will be taken in the next meeting," BFF General Secretary Anwarul Hoque Helal said journalists at the end of the meeting.
He, however, did not disclose the source of revenue collection for the club level tournament.
At least five countries gave green signal to send their club teams to the tournament, and BFF now looks for teams from sub-continent.
The meeting faced heated debate on selection of team leaders and managers of the Under-17 and Under-20 national teams. The issue left with the BFF president as the meeting failed to select the officials. Sultan will choose the officials today (Wednesday).
The Under-17 national team will play in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup in Bangladesh and the Under-20 will play the AFC Cup matches against Iran on home and away basis.
Besides, BFF also decided to hold a camp for the woman footballers consisting 30 players in Rangamati early next year.
BFF National Team Management Committee (NTMC) headed by legendary footballer Kazi Salauddin had proposed to meeting Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu as team leader and Sayeed Hasan Kannon as manager for the national side as per regulation, but fellow executive member Amirul Islam Babu showed his interest to be the team manager.
Bangladesh national football team is scheduled to leave here for Myanmar on October 25 to take part in the four-nation football tournament.
