Archery team leave Dhaka for New Delhi

A 12-member Bangladesh Archery team, including four officials, left Dhaka Monday for New Delhi to take part in the 14th Asian Archery championship, reports BDNEWS.
The eight-day championship will begin on November 4.
The Bangladesh team will compete in men and women in the compound and re-curve events. Among them four archers are men and four are women. The male archers are: Mohammad Noore Alam, Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Mohammad Sajjad Hossain and Mohammad Sanwar Hossain Fakir.
The female archers are: Nasreen Khanam Happy, Omi Chakma, Rina Chakma and Sraboni Chakma.
Mohammad Abdul Moktadir went with the team as chef de mission, Moksed Safee went as the manager (Women), Mohammad Kamrul Islam as the manager (Men) and Nishith Das as the coach.
A total of 22 countries are expected to take part in the championship.
Bangladesh, Iraq, Qatar, Pakistan, Bhutan, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, North and South Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrghyzstan and Mongolia have so far confirmed their participation.
