24 foreigners asked to leave country before SAARC summit

The Special Branch (SB) of police has asked 24 foreigners to leave the country before SAARC Summit scheduled for November 12-13, reports BDNEWS.
The decision was taken under the security measures of the SAARC summit. Among the foreigners, five are Pakistani nationals and two Libyans, said a SB source Monday.
The source refrained from disclosing the nationality of the other foreigners. However, most of them are Indian nationals, according to sources.
Against the backdrop of Saturday's deadly bomb blasts in New Delhi, the government started revising the security arrangements to ensure smooth holding of the summit.
To avert any subversive activities during the summit, the SB launched drives to evict foreigners who were illegally staying in the country, officials said.
Regarding the order, an official of Special Control Organisation (SCO) of SB told the news agency that this is a routine work of the SB.
UNB adds: China has formally expressed its eagerness to be a dialogue partner of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), now that the forum's summit meet is round the corner.
A senior Foreign Ministry official said Monday that the next month's 13th SAARC summit in Dhaka "might take up China's formal application for consideration," reports UNB.
In another development, the police imposed restrictions on the parking of rented cars at Zia International Airport (ZIA) car park area under strict security preparation for the forthcoming summit.
