Consecutive defeat for nat'l cricketers

The Bangladesh Under-19 National Cricket Team suffered their consecutive defeat in the Under-19 Afro-Asia Cup as they lost against Sri Lanka by eight wickets in their second match at the Port Stadium in Visakhapatnam Sunday, reports BDNEWS.
Bangladesh lost in their first match to India by four wickets Saturday.
The Lankan team reached the target scoring 178 runs for two in just 32.1 overs after bundling out Bangladesh for modest 175 in 46.5 overs.
Winning the toss Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim opted to bat first.
Opener Tamim Iqbal, younger brother of Test batsman Nafees Iqbal, top-scored with hitting 42 off 42 balls with six boundaries and a six.
His opening partner Mehrab Hossain made 37 as they added 58 runs in the opening stand.
The Bangladeshi youngsters lost their way after the second wicket fell at 114. All-rounder Sakib scored 27 runs as the other notable batsman.
Paceman Karuna Nayke claimed 4 for 26 while off-spinner Rajiva Weerasinghe took 3 for 34.
Sri Lankans, in reply, openers D Karuna and Sameera Soysa led the way towards the victory as they contributed 76 runs in only 10.5 overs.
Karuna's 78 runs off 84 ball knock contained three sixes and eight fours.
South Africa and Zimbabwe are the other teams in the competition.
