Speaker Jamir Uddin Sircar reiterated his call Sunday to the Awami League (AL) lawmakers to join the current Jatiya Sangsad session to make the House lively and more meaningful, reports BSS. Giving his call at the very outset of the session that began Sunday afternoon, the Speaker said the opposition lawmakers should play their due role in the House for making parliament more effective. "I have been maintaining neutrality in conducting the House during my tenure as Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad and at the same time I want to assure the main opposition that I will continue my neutrality in future also," he said. The Speaker told the JS that he had a discussion with the Deputy Leader of the Opposition Abdul Hamid in this connection. "During the discussion, I requested the opposition lawmakers through the Deputy Leader of the Opposition to join the parliament session," he added.
