KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (AFP): Malaysia Airlines is planning to slash the pay of its top managers from next month as part of cost-cutting measures following disappointing quarterly results, a report said Sunday. Division heads reporting to top management were expected to have their salary reduced by between 15 per cent and 30 per cent from December 1, the Sunday Star newspaper reported. The plan was explained in an internal memo sent to senior managers Thursday, the report said. Malaysia Airlines Chairman Munir Majid declined to comment, saying an announcement, if any, "would be made at an appropriate time".
